Kenyans from every part of Nairobi came together on the 29th of April for a five-kilometer run and holifest, sprint, or walk through a splash of different colors that took place in the city, from the Nyayo National Stadium up to the Nairobi arboretum.

It is a mainly fun and active initiative, sponsored by a local charity organization called Haut Monde Africa, which aims to raise funds to provide tertiary education to the bright disadvantaged students from very poor families.

After reaching the end of the untimed run, some celebrations were held at the arboretum grounds, called the finish festival involving a fun Zumba or aerobics and a dance party that showcased the performance from fans & musicians, like the latest sensational group called, Le band, who performed their hit song “number one”.

This year there will be several color jamborees. All have different causes they stand for that are mainly eradicating poverty in deep interior areas in Kenya. This is going to be a yearly, fun, active initiative that has got Kenyans participating and helping.

...Karibu Kenya...
